1. Beijing
Beijing is the capital of the People's Republic of China. It
is the political center and cultural center of the country. It is a
world-famous ancient capital and a modern international city. It is located in
the northern part of the Great Plains of North China. It is adjacent to Tianjin
in the east and adjacent to Hebei Province in the other. Beijing has a land
area of 16,410.54 square kilometers. The west, north and northeast are

approved by the State Council [1]. By 2018, the city has jurisdiction over 16
districts with a total area of 11,916.85 square kilometers, a built-up area
of 1007.91 square kilometers, a resident population of 15.59 million, an
urban population of 12.9681 million, and an urbanization rate of 83.15%.
3. Shijiazhuang
Shijiazhuang, referred to as “Shi”, formerly known as Shimen,
is the political, economic, scientific, financial, cultural, and information
center of the provincial capital of Hebei Province. It is one of the important
central cities in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region approved by the State Council.
As of 2018, the city has 8 districts, 11 counties, and 3 county-level cities
under its jurisdiction, with a total area of 14,464 square kilometers, a
built-up area of 28,372 square kilometers, a resident population of 10.915
million, and an urban population of 6.917 million. The urbanization rate is
63.16%. Shijiazhuang is located in the North China region of China, the
south-central part of Hebei Province, and the Bohai Bay Economic Zone. It is
the resident of the Central Military Region.
